Engaging with the Community
Obra do Berço contributes to the social development of Rio de Janeiro by partnering with third-sector organizations and supporting the families of the children we serve.
Since its founding, Obra do Berço has always made it a policy to support other philanthropic institutions and participate in third-sector initiatives and events. Today, we allocate part of the donations received for our bazaar to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), such as NGO Alfa and Retiro dos Artistas, as well as organizations such as Comlurb. We also support the Doe Livros project and maintain an ongoing exchange of best practices with partner organizations including Celpe, Instituto da Criança, and Phi.
Our commitment goes beyond providing comprehensive daily care for the children we serve. We support their families by donating food baskets, diapers, and other essential items to those most in need. To further strengthen community ties and promote social inclusion among family members, we also create opportunities for social interaction through events such as our traditional June festival.
