OBRA DO BERÇO
For nearly a century, Obra do Berço has transformed lives in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. We are one of the few nonprofit organizations that provides Institutional Care around the clock, as well as a daycare center open to the community.
Here, every child is surrounded by the care, safety, and medical and educational support they need to thrive. Founded in 1928, we are located in a historic building, an architectural landmark in Lagoa, designed by the then-young architect Oscar Niemeyer.
In Institutional Care and Daycare, we work to protect early childhood, strengthen family bonds, and create pathways for development.

In Institutional Care and Daycare, we work to protect early childhood, strengthen family bonds, and create pathways for development.
We care for children from 6 months to 4 years old throughout the day, fostering their cognitive, emotional, and social development through sports, cultural, and educational activities. All in a safe, welcoming, and interactive environment.
