An almost centenary social assistance institution, the Obra do Berço’s, mission is to welcome and educate socially vulnerable children from zero to three years of age, preserving their family ties.

We know that the first three years, or the first thousand days, are fundamental in the development of the individual. The whole cognitive process is formed during this period of time.

Our team consists of a social worker, a psychologist, educators and volunteers. All of them work with families and children to form future citizens capable of facing difficulties and transforming them into success.
